San Fabian hosts WAF Archdiocesan Christmas Fellowship

11 December 2010 - San Fabian. The Parish of St. Fabian, Pope and Martyr, played host to the officers and members of the World Apostolate of Fatima as they came together to celebrate their annual Christmas Fellowship.

A program was held in the morning participated by the different WAF units of the different parishes. Msgr. Rafael S. Magno, Jr., celebrated the mass at 10,30am.

The World Apostolate of Fatima

The World Apostolate of Fatima or the Blue Army as they more popularly known in the Archdiocese, is a worldwide public association of the faithful, responding to the requests that Our Blessed Mother made to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal in 1917, to help save souls and bring peace to the world. It promotes Eucharistic prayer and the Rosary, as well as penance, especially the generous acceptance of the duties of our state in life.

The World Apostolate of Fatima offers a variety of spiritual programs. These range from the Prayer Cells, where individuals meet for weekly prayer in the Parish or home setting, to the Parish First Saturday Devotions, All Night Vigils, and a Sacred Heart Home Enthronement Program and Family Consecrations to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These and other programs can revitalize and strengthen the faith of participants in local Church communities.
