Archbishop Soc in Inmalog Sur

17 March 2011 – San Fabian, Pangasinan. The mountains and the people of the upland barangays of the Parish of St. Fabian, Pope and Martyr, welcomed with great joy the Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan, Msgr. Socrates B. Villegas, DD as he administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to  children and young people of the place. The Sacrament of Confirmation was celebrated within the Holy Mass presided by the Archbishop. Fr. Oliver E. Mendoza, the parish priest, concelebrated.

More than 50 children and young people received the Sacrament of Confirmation after undergoing catechism in preparation for the reception of the sacrament.

The candidates came from four barangays, namely, Brgys. Lipit-Tomeeng, Inmalog Sur, Inmalog Norte and Bigbiga. After the mass, Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas held a “Question and Answer” forum with them.

The Holy Mass was celebrated at the Don Rafael Hufana Civic and Sports Complex in Inmalog Sur, San Fabian, Pangasinan.

First Sunday of Lent (A): Pangasinan Reflection

Walay dwaran pasen ya abitla ed saray babasaen tayo natan. Unaan, diad Tanamanan na Eden o Garden of Eden. Diman wadman ya amin so dakerakel ya kiew tan tanaman, ayep tan saray manok. Say kumadwan pasen ya abitla: say kalawakan; say disierto ya nakar na Katawan ya nandasalan tan nan-ayunoan. Say kalawakan so kabaliktaran na Garden of Eden: anggapo so tanaman; anggapo so bunga-bunga, anggapo so masasamit ya kakanen. Diad disierto na Katawan balet, diman atalo so tukso. Diad disierto, anggaman naalmo so kairapan, wadman so pakapanyari na Dios.

Diad sayan kuaresma, sarag tayo met so onlad disierto na bilay tayo: say pamirbir ya sikatayo labat et tinawag na Dios ya manag-asikaso na say mundo. Birbiren tayo ya diad gapoy-gapo, anggapo so kayaryan tayo. Nanlapu ya amin ed say Dios; say Dios ya aliwan masiblet. Say Dios inpalima ton amin labat ed sikatayo so mundo, pati say bilay ya bebenbenan tayo.

Manbilay tayo met sirin unong ed sayan generosity na Dios. Manbilay tayon aliwan masiblet. Akin et agaylay irap tayon mangiter? Ta lapud natatakot tayo ya naupotan itayo. Lapud natatakot tayon sikatayo so naandian no mangiter tayo ed arum. Say labay to yan ibaga: agtayo manisia ya say Dios yet aliwan masiblet. Agtayo manmamatalek ed say Panangasi na Katawan ed sikatayo. Say Dios Mapangasi. Sayan panangasi na Dios et agnsabsabaan.

Panon tayon nasukat no sikatayo so generous? Aliwan diad kabaleg na iiter tayo. Say toon generous et aliwan samay angiter na sankabalegan, no ingen et samay angitilak na daiset para sikato. Ta lapud manisia ya say Dios et aliwan masiblet, tan agpatayo so Dios nipaakar ed say pangiter na nakaukolan tayo.

Summer Recollection for Liturgical Ministers

The Lay Formation Center has come out with the schedule for the Summer Recollection for Liturgical Ministers this 2011. The Parish of T. Fabian, Pope and Martyr regularly sends Liturgical Ministers to the Recollection as part of the formation program being offered by the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan.

The Lectors and Commentators of the Parish are scheduled to have their Recollection on 16 April 2011, Saturday. They will be joined by the liturgical ministers from the Parishes of Epiphany of the Lord, St. Pius V, Holy Cross, St Hyacinth, St. Joseph the Patriach, St. Thomas Aquinas and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.

The Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will have their recollection on 21 May 2011 with the Parishes of the Holy Cross, St. Hyacinth, St. Joseph the Patriach, St. Thomas Aquinas and our Lady of the Holy Rosary.

The new Lectors/Commentators and the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will have their basic formation on 18-19 April 2011, Holy Monday and Tuesday.

The members of the Parish Social Action Apostolate will have their recollection on 20 April (Holy Wednesday), Music Ministers (Choir Directors, Representatives and Instrumentalists) on 4 June 2011, Saturday, the Parish and Convent Employees and Staff will have theirs on 10 June 2011 (Friday) and the Collectors and Usherettes on 11 June 2011, Saturday.

All recollection and Formation Programs begin at 8Am and end before 5PM. Confessions are scheduled within the program.
