PREX Class 47 held in PSF

4 September 2011 – San Fabian, Pangasinan. The 47th PREX or Parish Renewal Experience weekend seminar was held in the Parish of St. Fabian, Pope and Martyr from 2-4 September 2011. PREX Class 46 sponsored this weekend seminar.

PREX Class 46

San Fabian, Pangasinan – 31 July 2011.  The Parish of St. Fabian, Pope and Martyr, recently held PREX Class 46 last 29-31 July at the Parish Center. PREX or Parish Renewal Experience is the adult formation program of the parish. It has been held regularly since 2004.

Fr. Oliver E. Mendoza, the parish priest, who has been giving the PREX seminars, has  been very enthusiastic about PREX. “So many have better understood who they are as Catholics; so many have been blessed to have been renewed while undergoing the PREX weekend seminars", Fr. Mendoza said.

 “There have been remarkable increase in the attendance in the celebration of the Eucharist. There are now more who take active part in the parish apostolate, ministries,  programs and projects.” Fr. Mendoza observed.

The PREX seminars in the Parish of St. Fabian have undergone several revision with regard to its focus and emphasis. Lately, the seminar has focused on Stewardship Spirituality. The Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan has embarked on an intensive catechesis on the Spirituality of Stewardship. “PREX has provided the parish with a venue in communicating the meaning and life of Stewardship to our parishioners”, Father Mendoza further remarked as he noted the continuing program of the parish in forming good Catholic stewards among the parishioners.

Sis. Cleofe Nabua has been chosen as the PREX Class 46 coordinator with Bro. Art Gagute as the assistant coordinator.

PREX Class 45

San Fabian – The Parish of St. Fabian, Pope and Martyr, held recently another Parish Renewal Experience (PREX) Weekend Seminar lats 3-5 June 2011 at the Parish Center.

The Parish Renewal Experience has been the primary formation program for adult Catholics of the parish. It has been held in San Fabian since 2004 when it was first introduced in the parish by Rev. Fr. Francisco Ungria, Jr.

PREX Class 43

San Fabian, Pangasinan. The Parish of St. Fabian, Pope and Martyr, recently held another Parish Renewal Experience (PREX) weekend seminar last 25-27 February 2011. It was held at the Parish Center.

Rev. Fr. Oliver E. Mendoza, the parish priest, gave the eleven talks of the weekend seminar. The Parish PREX Secretariat and the members of PREX Class 42  sponsored the seminar.

Sis. Gilda Benitez was chosen as the Coordinator of PREX Class 43.

The next PREX Class weekend seminar will be on 25-27 March 2011.

PREX sa Barrio Class No. 1

20 June 2010 – San Fabian. A new pastoral program of the Parish of St. Fabian, Pope and Martyr, was launched in Barangay Palapad, San Fabian. The “PREX sa Barrio” is the adult formation of the parish held in the barangays. The first PREX sa Barrio was held in Brgy. Palapad on 18-19 June 2010.

  Since 2004, when the Parish Renewal Experience (PREX) was held in the parish, the weekend seminars had always been held in the Parish Center, at the Poblacion. It has been observed though that during the last PREX weekend seminars, more and more parishioners from the barangays were attending the weekend seminar.

“The PREX sa Barrio” will bring the successful and fruitful holding of the seminars in the barangays so as to give more opportunity for the barangays to avail of the PREX seminar.

The PREX at the Poblacion will take place after every “PREX in the Barrio” so as not to disrupt the continuity of the adult formation program in the parish.

The “PREX sa Barrio” is using a module especially designed for the needs and situation of the barangays. Instead of the three days, the “PREX sa Barrio” will start in the evening of Friday and will end in the evening of the next day.The Parish PREX secretariat and the PREX graduates helped in the sponsoring and the facilitating of the weekend seminar in Brgy. Palapad. Fr. Oliver E. Mendoza, the parish priest, gave the talks and conferences for the seminar.
